An original Jubinell composition

There's a door in the middle of the room.
It's shaped in a peculiar way.
It leads to the strangest places that I know.

My baby is standing near that door.
She's got a worn-out smile
and a sea of anguish in her dark eyes that I swear

she can't wait to tell me:
"I'm getting outta here,
taking with me my tears leaving nothing for you."

I can't bear to tell her:
"Goodbye my dear.
Goodbye..."

It's been eternity since she left
I'm still sitting here.
The door is shut tightly behind her.

I don't believe that it's true,
that she will never come back.
This room feels so empty without her.

I really want to scream out loud:
"Isn't anybody there?
Would you look out for my baby wherever she goes?"

Even though I know she don't care
if I breathe a sigh,
whether I live or die.

Do you believe in love?
Do you believe it can be killed
and brought back to life?

Behind this cellar door
your world and mine
can they collide outside of time?

I know that it's been years,
since you and I...
I know that centuries will pass.

I know that time will have to to stop
for you and I
to love again...

...but I'll wait.

A song supposedly written about Grinnell, Iowa. I dedicate this cover to ennalax for introducing me to the movie "Hedwig and the Angry Inch." For some reason I've always liked Tommy Gnosis version much better...I don't know, it's more childish and I'm a child I guess...

To my saddest, prettiest, and cruelest angel...

The angel of the night
The sadness in her eyes
And resignation in her sighs
Make me want to ask her why

"Why oh why would you cry?
Your voice trails off in the night.
Your tears are as cold as ice,
Yet in my hands they melt and float up to the sky."

Oh how I crave to see what's inside
What's behind that mysterious smile
She's my snow white, my dearest lady starlight
She shines in the darkest nights.

But watch out for her lies
Her beauty is but a disguise
She'd take out a bloody knife
And stab you until you die.

Like an angel from the sky
She dresses all in white
She sings a lullaby
Telling me it was alright.

But every time that she walks by
She takes her seductive strides
Revealing parts of her thighs
It makes me wanna drop my head and cry

A criminal with no alibi
She has red liners on her eyes
With a vengeance at her side
And nobody to sympathize.

So watch out when she smiles
Her beauty is but a disguise
Her teeth are cold and white
She'd bite you until you die.
